Wan Shing Sex Toys Limited designs and produces adult lifestyle products which include vibrators, kegel balls, anal sex toys, dildos, lingerie, novelties, men’s masturbators, cock rings and fetish gear. They own a brand which is named “Sweetoy” which aims to create ergonomically designed products that are sold at affordable prices. Their range reflects the latest trends in fashion and beauty.
Tell me about yourself?
I am Tracy Chan, the sales director of Wang Shing Sex Toys Co Ltd.
When was your company established?
Wang Shing Sex Toys Co Ltd is a manufacturing company that was established in 2012. Our team consists of an admin department, QC department, sales department, designer, developing department and a production department. We believe our products can bring people happiness and pleasure.
What surprised you from working in the adult lifestyle industry?
What surprised me is that we found out that many people are ashamed of talking about sex in China and they did not know what can help to improve their feelings about sex. Through our effort, they are more open to bravely chase the pleasure.
What education do you need to become a sex toy designer or manufacturer?
We need to learn the knowledge of human physiology, what safe materials can be used, what style of products do people like and what curves can bring people pleasure. At the same time we need to learn from the sexologists about the needed sex toy designs.
What is the product design process like?
- Create an idea for a product.
- Draw a rough draft of the product on paper.
- Use software to create the products on the computer.
- Then we organise a meeting together with the sales and engineer to analyse whether the project will work.
- Design and construct the insides.
- Make a mould.
- Assemble the samples.
- Modify the design.
- Testing at the CE & RoHS.
- Begin mass production of the product.
How long does it take to create and produce a product?
Usually about 3 months
How does your company help that process?
Checking with the design processing, The link between the customer and factory . Give the customer some suggestion about the products (like what’s kind of craft the factory can do ,what’s the best selling style etc.)
What do you love most about the design process?
Modifying the design because we get to brainstorm various ideas and reach a balance.
What materials are your products made from?
Medical grade silicone and ABS.
You make your own product ranges, but do you also make products for other people? What brands do you manufacture?
Yes. We do OEM for some well-known companies. But sorry we should keep it secret, just like we will do the same for you if there is a chance.
What are your best selling products?
Vibrators and Prostate Massagers.
What products would you recommend to beginners?
