Oh Zone Penrith

adult shopping

Hi, I came into Ohzone Penrith the other day and wanted to write a review as the service I received and the product range was an absolute delight. I have been to the store once but that was many, many years ago now and it has changed vastly.

I was sent to the store by my wife, as she was too embarrassed to come in, I tried my hardest to get her to come but unfortunately it was a no go. She didn’t have an exact idea of what she wanted but we have quite a few toys so I knew the style that she enjoys. It’s always hard to buy for someone else but due to the incredibly helpful staff it was an absolute breeze for me. As soon as I walked through the door I was greeted and as I hadn’t been in the store before the woman gave me a tour of the sections and all the products they had.

I explained to the staff the types of toys and styles that my wife enjoys and the woman was able to pick out quite a few toys that she thought would be a good fit, we both put gloves on and had a fiddle around with all the toys and I’m glad I did as we’ve previously only purchased our toys online and some of them weren’t as powerful as we were expecting, so to be able to feel the vibrations in my hand whilst an extremely knowledgeable staff member talked me through all the different functions and different ways to use the toys as well as the different types of lubes that would help enhance pleasure was very helpful and I knew I would be able to bring home a toy that was perfect for my wife due to all the help I received.

The store itself is very clean and tidy, all of the products are organised in sections and it is very easy to find anything you’re after (especially when you’re given the store tour), there is such a wide range of products the only problem was trying to choose what I wanted. I parked out the front along high street but that was pure luck as someone was pulling out just as I was driving to go to the stores rear parking.

I quickly found out Zippay was available in the store which made me want to purchase a toy for myself as well, again the woman was extremely helpful and showed me all sorts of male toys. I was most interested in the strokers as I had never really had one before, I brought a few up to the front counter to see which one was best in the her opinion. We went through the ones I brought up however she also showed me a vibrating stroker that was up behind the counter and walked me through the functions and motors and after holding it for myself I was sold as it was an incredible product and I was so happy that I had her help otherwise I wouldn’t of known and just got one I thought looked nice but wasn’t of the same caliber.

All in all my experience was wonderful and I’ll definitely be back for more and my wife will be forced to come with me next time so she can have the same experience as I did and see for herself that there is no need to be embarrassed as the staff are extremely professional and very helpful.

There Is Nothing Wrong With Me!

I think it’s time for people to start feeling confident enough to start opening up more about there sexual needs, fantasies and experiences. The more people that talk about it the more relaxed and comfortable everyone out there will start to feel. This story is about my history with not knowing what or how to go about getting help in the sex department.

I’m a women that has struggled over the years to try to pleasure myself successfully. With many fails and having no clue were to even begin, it started to put me off even trying to figure it out. Started to feel like a jig saw puzzle with so many pieces missing. I always felt something was wrong with me, my body must not be working right, maybe I was born weird and not normal or even started to feel a little scared or embarrassed about doing it in general like I was judging myself for wanting that pleasure.

I tired to open up to my friends group when we used to discuss things about there sex lives. They all seemed to know exactly how to satisfy themselves and it used to make me worry even more that something was definitely wrong with me. That I was programmed totally different. Don’t get me wrong I always had the feeling a lot of my friends weren’t being honest about there experiences and trying to hide the fact they couldn’t satisfy themselves either, probably with feeling the way I always did and not having the courage to be truthful about it.

My parents have always brought me up to be open and honest about everything but when it comes to sex you always try to give them some respect on this subject and not get into too much detail as you feel it’s not something they feel comfortable talking about with there child. Not feeling I could talk to many people about this subject and then be truthfully honest I started to google up information and do a bit of research.

Online only explains to you in a reboot basic way which never helped me personally and it’s not like you get much feed back on if your doing it correct. By pure luck I discovered the oh zone shops and went in for a stroll. Looking at reviews the shop and staff were highly recommended and I thought to myself what’s the harm in trying it out. Like a bit of a nerve reck I took a wee visit down to shop. I explained my situation to a staff member and straight away they were taking me to what section they could recommend for me.

The staff advice was so helpful and they made me feel so relaxed and at ease from start to finish which was great to calm the nerves. Never once did I feel judged or ashamed of what I was asking about or struggling to do for that matter. They steered me down the right path of different toys that would suit my needs and also what was going to be in my price range. It’s very intimidating and confusing when you first walk in as the selection they have there is so large – and being a novice I did not even know where to start. In saying that it’s amazing to have so much choice and variety. The shop definitely provides for every need and if something is not in stock in the store they are so helpful in trying to order items in for you.

The best lessons I was taught was that every person is different and most do struggle to find there right spots straight away but it’s all about practicing and getting to know your own body, experiment around and listen to what my body is saying it likes. Well that first night I went home with my goodies and put all there intel to the test. After about 10 minutes off fiddling around and trying to relax I finally started to feel something different (a feeling I had never experienced before). Let’s just say “OH MY GOD” is the best words to describe it.

Finally that amazing, intense feeling that everyone goes on about, I had just got to feel it for the first time. The only way I can explain it is just pure bliss, satisfaction and release. It’s like my body had just exploded with excited, stitches and butterflies. I had finally felt my first orgasm and it was bloody worth the wait. It was exactly how I was told it would feel when I eventually got the right spot. Safe to say I practiced more and more that night. It felt like such an accomplishment, I didn’t know I could have ever felt so empowered in my own body and had managed to make myself feel like that all on my own. You don’t realize how much pressure you put on yourself because you feel like you have been failing so bad before. Sometimes you just need a little help to guide you down the right path and I thank the staff at oh zone for doing that with me.

I have now become a regular customer and still each time  I visit there so happy and pleasant to help me on what to try next. Never once do they push me into something that doesn’t feel right for me. Some wise words I was told by one of the staff members and these words fit perfectly right now.

“It’s not what you know, it’s who you know”

and that shop consultants definitely know there stuff and I have got to know most of them!

After shopping in this store now for a couple of years I have been given an amazing opportunity to working in one of their stores. It’s now my time to advise and teach other people that are in the situation I used to be in. My advice is stick with the lovely oh zone team who are always going to steer you in the right direction. They will always make sure your going home with a smile and a very enjoyable night!

Why You Really Need A Dildo

Sex Toy Guide Blog

Sex should be enjoyable, fun, creative, versatile and mind blowing. So, instead of relying on traditional sex, expand your horizons by exploring your body with a sex toy like a dildo. This article will go into depth about everything you have ever needed to know about dildos.

Where does the word dildo originate?

The beginnings of the word dildo is quite baffling. Interestingly enough, the dildo is widely recognized to have originated from the word diletto which is an Italian word for:

“a lady’s pleasure”

When were dildos first invented?

Dildos were one of the first sex toys types created. They were found as far back as 29, 000 BC in Hohle Fels Cave near Ulm in Germany. As science and technology has advanced over the years, almost every kind of adult lifestyle product that we use has been improved in some way but the humble Dildo has remained one of the most effective and reliable sex toys available.

What is a dildo?

A dildo is a type of sex toy with a phallic or non-phallic shape that is used to provide pleasurable stimulation to women and men. Dildos come in a large range of different shapes, colours, textures, sizes and materials. They range in sizes from as tiny as a finger to much larger than a human’s fist! The large range ensures that the fetishes and fantasies of a wide consumer preference is catered for.

Who can use a dildo?

There is nothing wrong with dildo play, dildos have been used for thousands of years by women and men of all sexualities. However, men can only use a dildo for anal play if it is made with a base.

What erogenous zones does the dildo stimulate?

A dildo can provide pleasure to a woman’s g-spot and a-spot, it can also provide pleasure to a man’s p-spot. Since dildos are made with varied shapes and sizes, they can reach spots that the average penis cannot which can give you an unbelievable pleasurable experience. Dildos can be used during mutual masturbation and foreplay to massage along different parts of the body including the clitoris, penis and scrotum.

Strap-on and harness compatible dildos can be worn around the waist and used on a lover for a penetrative experience. There are also dual ended dildos that can be used to pleasure the vagina and anus at the same time, some of them can be used by two people at the same time in a “see-saw” movement.

What materials are dildos made with?

Dildos can be made with an assortment of materials like silicone, surgical steel, glass, stone, wood, ABS hard plastic, TPE, TPR, genuine feel rubber and jelly. Unlike men, these sex toys always stay as hard as the material that they are made from. All these different kinds of materials have their own advantages and disadvantages. The best dildo material for you will depend on your own individual preferences. Sometimes it can take a bit of experimentation to find out what you really like.

Companies like Doc Johnson and Tantus have made dildo’s that have dual density layers which provide the feeling of realistic sex. Dildos with dual layers often have a hard inner layer of silicone and a soft outer layer of silicone. They are said to feel absolutely amazing especially when paired with a sex toys unique design and textures.

You can also find companies like BS Atelier in Madrid, LAID from Norway and Fun Factory in Germany who make their products from body safe and non-porous materials like pure silicone, glass and metal. To top that off, Fun Factory sex toys are made with even more functions including rolling massage balls.

Are dildos made with body safe materials?

When dildos were originally produced they were made with rubber and jelly that contained phthalates which are toxic to the body. Phthalates is a type of chemical used to make hard material soft, clear and flexible. With the knowledge that these materials were made with harsh chemicals, most adult lifestyle companies decided to only use materials that are body safe. But you will need to check whether the product you are planning on purchasing is body safe.

Are dildos safe?

Yes, dildos are definitely safe to use. There is no medical evidence to prove that dildos are harmful or have serious side effects to a person. The only thing we can guarantee you though, is that you will be addicted to them. The amount of pleasure obtained from these gadgets is unimaginable.

Why do some people like phallic dildos and some people like non-phallic dildos?

Some people love using a phallic dildos to replicate the feeling of realistic sex with a man whereas some people love the pleasurable stimulation of the ergonomic design of a non-phallic dildo that can be used for pinpoint stimulation.

Why are dildos not classified as a vibrator?

Dildos are generally used through the manual movement of a person’s hand, body or waist. They are not made with electrical features like added vibrations or pulsations which are features that are found in vibrators.

What are suction cups and harnesses used for on a dildo?

The main two features which are sort after when purchasing a dildo is whether it has a strong suction cup or whether it is harness compatible. A suction cup allows a person to use the sex toy for hands free stimulation, as it can be attached to a hard surface like tiles or inside a bathtub so that a person can use it as if it were a real erect penis. Whilst a dildo which is made to be compatible with a harness normally has a flat base which can be placed securely into a harness. A dildo with a harness allows a lover to wear it around their waist so that they are able to use it as if it were a part of their body for penetrative stimulation.

Where can I buy dildos?

Dildos can be bought by or for a person who loves the feeling of penetrative sex. If you are shy and a reserved person walking in to a sex shop and looking for a dildo can be a hard task. We would recommend you purchase a dildo at a sex toy shop online. This is the best option if you want a bit of privacy.

If you are buying a dildo made from a silicone mix it is advised that you go into an physical sex toy store so you can see whether the material has any manufacturing defaults like bubbles within the material.

How do you use a dildo?

Dildos actually do not come with instructions. The designers of these sex toys naturally assume that everyone understands how to be able use a dildo properly. But for first timers, it can be quite difficult especially if you do not know what to do! Here you will find some steps that you can follow to make your first time experience enjoyable:

Be prepared

The first thing you should do when using a dildo is be prepared so that you will be able to enjoy the experience. To do this you will need to:

  • Have your room set up so that you are comfortable.
  • Ensure the dildos you are using is clean.
  • Ensure that the dildo and personal lubricant is in an easy to access location.

Lubricate

If you are a woman you may need to use additional lubricant since they may not be able to produce enough natural lubrication for the experience. It is recommended to invest in a sex toy friendly lubricant like water-based lubricant.

If you are a man you will need to use lubricant as the anus does not produce natural lubrication. The anus will also soak up most of the lubricant so you will need to use plenty and relubricate well before it dries out. It is recommended that men invest in an anal lubricant that is specially made.

Relax

But you can’t just force the dildo in! You have to start somewhere and start slowly. Just like sex with a partner, your body should be ready and relaxed. Using a dildo is about experiencing a personal type of pleasure that is controlled by the user. Burn some aromatic candles, put some mood music on, lie back and relax. You can begin by naturally arousing yourself through masturbating or engaging in foreplay with a lover. When you are ready it will slide in gently almost on its own.

Slow and steady wins the race

Slowly slip a dildo inside, leave the dildo there for a moment and feel it gently stretch your body. When you are ready, control the speed and depth of the thrust to start off slowly and gradually increase it according to the amount of pleasure that you would like to experience. You will need to experiment to find what works for you.

Clean up afterwards

Sex toys need to be taken cleaned and taken care of.  It is recommended to use some antibacterial sex toy cleaner, mild soap and warm water to clean your dildo. Dry it thoroughly and store it in a dark place.

Now it is that easy so what are you waiting for?Save

An Ultimate Guide To LELO’s Bestselling Vibrators

Bestselling LELO sex toys

With the varying qualities of sex toy makers currently around I think it is important to focus on companies that are doing it right, both with the toys they make and or the way they operate their business. LELO seemed like the obvious first choice as LELO are incredibly famous for their luxury sex toys.

Whenever I am talking to a customer about LELO, I always refer to them as the Ferrari of the sex toy world; LELO is where luxury and quality come to meet. Founded in 2003 by industrial designers Eric Kalen, Carl Magnuson and engineer Filip Sedic, the original LELO team consisted of 10 people (they now employ over 600 people around the world) they started the business with the key idea of making high quality beautiful sex toys with considered design and usability. LELO tries to make sex toys that aren’t just about getting the job done; they want you to enjoy the doing… And they have succeeded.

I own a LELO and I can honestly say I didn’t “get” (get as in understand how they could be pleasurable) vibrators until I got my LELO. Strong vibrations, ergonomic to use and thoughtful design are the key features that keep people coming back to LELO time and time again. Across all of the LELO’s I have encountered, I have found there to never be a shortage of strength and power coming from any of these toys. But not only are the vibrations strong, they make sense. Sometimes when using a toy it can feel like one setting is too weak while the next is too strong, this is never an issue I have run into any of the LELO’s I own or have tested, it actually feels like they get me. I am also a huge fan of the designs for their toys overall for two reasons. Firstly I love how ergonomic they feel to work with, the buttons aren’t in a difficult spot and the length of the toy is right for the job it was designed for. There are constantly little touches of innovation and thoughtful design like the loop ring handle on some models whilst other toys have thoughtful and pleasurable angles. Secondly I like how these toys do not attempt to recreate anatomy (detailed penis type designs) instead they opt for a minimalistic and classic design look that also allows them to be much more inclusive than other toy brands who focus on realism (think about it, why would a lesbian want a realistic looking penis toy? They generally don’t and LELO knows this).

Another reason to love LELO? They practice what they preach. They are a company that has strong ethics and understand that to be a part of this community (the “sex community” for lack of a better term) they need to participate. They are the main sponsors behind the Amber Rose SlutWalk an annual day long march and festival that:

“aims to impact and uplift, while shifting the paradigm of rape culture. The event provides a safe, all-inclusive space to entertain, educate, and empower.” – Quote from The Amber Rose SlutWalk’s website

They carry inclusive products for every different kind of person (men, woman, members of the trans community etc.), they also run an extremely informative blog that contains, sexual health information, tips and tricks, featured erotic stories (from both straight and queer authors) plus they are always looking for new opportunities to become more involved.

Ok so now we are all on the same page, LELO = awesome! So I am going to give you some recommendations of my favourite LELO sex toys so you can become part of the revolution.

My Favourite LELO Sex Toys

Rabbit vibrator by LELO
Image: LELO Soraya

LELO Soraya

LELO Soraya is damn near one of the best sex toys on the market anywhere. Made from medical grade silicone and ABS plastic (two great materials for your toy as they are non-porous and easy to sterilise). The Soraya has 8 different pleasure modes and was designed to be a dual action sex toy. This means that the shaft and clitoris stimulator have two different motors in them meaning they can run independently of each other and they aren’t sharing the strength of one motor head, they each have their own. I own a Soraya and for my money I don’t think there is a better vibrator out there. This is the perfect toy as an “ol’ faithful” she will never let you down and will always leave you smiling.

Clitoral sucker by LELO
Image: LELO Sona Cruise

LELO Sona Cruise

The Sona Cruise claims to work a little different to other suckers. It uses sonic waves that more completely and effectively stimulate the clitoris and bring more powerful orgasms. It is a waterproof silicone and ABS toy that is rechargeable and one of LELO’s more affordable toys. I love suckers! And I was so excited for LELO’s version that hit the market before Christmas last year. I actually purchased this for my best friend as a Christmas present and she gives it the big thumbs up.

Prostate massager by LELO
Image: LELO Loki Wave

LELO Loki Wave

I originally put this on the list as a male toy (the Loki Wave is the second version of the Loki prostate massager) however after looking at the specs and having a close look at the tester I am calling the Loki Wave the perfect couple’s toy. Yes it is designed for prostate, the waving motion will simulate the prostate perfectly and the second smaller shaft is meant as a vibe for the balls and taint but because this toy is made from medical grade silicone it could be properly cleaned and used by a female partner as a rabbit style vibe with the wave function being employed to work the G-spot.

Men Orgasming From The Inside Out!

Hot Couple Orgasming From The Inside Out

Penis Plugs and Surgical Steel Sex Toys are becoming more and more popular. They can be found in physical and online sex toy stores. One of the largest suppliers and brands of Penis Plugs and Surgical Steel Sex Toys is Hell’s Couture. Penis plugs are a type of urethral sex toy used by men and women to explore their bodies using techniques and methods to masturbate and reach orgasm. A lot of people within the BDSM and fetish community use Penis Plugs for medical play.

What Do Penis Plugs Feel Like?

When I first inserted a Penis Plug, it stimulated the tip of my penis from the inside, giving me a pleasurable feeling that felt AMAZING. I used a Cum Thru Penis Plug which allowed me to ejaculate whilst it was being worn. Since then, I have used it multiple times which felt as equally amazing as the first time. Now, I have a larger range of Urethral Sex Toys to mix things up, so my lover doesn’t get bored. I would recommend a Penis Plug to any and every man out there.

What Does Urethral Sounding Feel Like?

I trained my body so that I was able to insert longer, textured and wider Urethral Sex Toys. Training my body to adapt to different sizes made the experience more bearable than my initial experiences. The urethral sound slid in easily, since it was able to reach a longer area I was able to experience more sensations at the one time. When the Urethral Sound was fully inserted the curved tip stimulated my bladder giving my whole body a new sensation I had never experienced before. I moved the Urethral Sound in and out. I then begin to masturbate with my penis for even more pleasure whilst always ensuring that my Urethral Sound was topped up with more lubricant. I alternated between masturbation and “in & out” play until I came. Once again, I experienced a long sweet orgasm.

It took me some time before I got used to the Urethral Sex Toy but I can positively say I enjoy using them especially outdoors where no one else has any idea that I am wearing it underneath my pants. I can now use Urethral Sex Toys for extended periods of time as I have gotten used to them. Honestly speaking, I can’t decide which is better from the other as they both give different but exquisite sensations. It is important to note that Urethral Sex Toys should not be worn for long periods of time.

Preparation Steps

Sterilize

Even though it was new, I sterilized the Penis Plug by leaving it in boiling water for more than 5 minutes. Afterwards, I wiped it with clean piece of cloth with alcohol making sure my hands and body were clean at all times. It is important to guarantee safety by using spotless, disinfected Penis Plugs. Always remember to clean both your Penis Plugs and your body before you attempt to insert a Penis Plug. Ask your partner to clean their hands or even make sure they use surgical gloves if they would like to help you masturbate with the Urethral Sex Toy. Never insert anything into the urethra if you have infections, you should seek medical treatment from a professional first.

Lubricate

Furthermore, remember to lubricant. You will require a good and germ free lube for this. Place a lubricant on the entry to the urethra and on the Urethral Sex Toy before you begin insertion. I originally decided to go with KY Jelly which is a sterile lubricant for ease of insertion. I now know however that water-based lubricants dry up quickly. I now use Superslyde which is a silicone-based lubricant that feels silky smooth and does not dry up. Whatever you do, don’t use saliva as a lubricant!

Relax & Take It Slowly

Before I started the process, I made sure I was in a relaxed environment. Since it was the first time for me, I made sure I was fully comfortable before I began inserting the tip of the Penis Plug in my urethra. It is important to insert the plugs when your penis is still soft and not erect.

I also had the instructions in mind to go slowly as urethral play should be carefully done as the area is delicate. If you are stressed, your urethral muscles will physically work against it and they will attempt to push the plug out or block it from going any further. Try to oppose this urge by relaxing as much as possible. It is best to just allow the weight of the Penis Plug to naturally push it into the urethra by itself. Gravity will assist here, so it is best to keep the penis perpendicular during insertion. Do not force the Penis Plug inside.

Masturbation

There are two ways you can masturbate.

  1. You can hold the Penis Plug and move inside and outside of your urethra.
  2. You can hold the Penis Plug in place whilst you masturbate. Try with mild strokes and observe how it feels like.

Couples Play

If you would like another person to make the insertion, this is where you would invite your lover to help you. Hold your penis with one hand while the other inserts the Penis Plug or Urethral Sound.

At first the sensation was new, strange and slightly painful at the point of entry but I slowly started to get used to it. After slowly and repeatedly taking it in and out I started feeling new sensations all over my dick from the urethral play. I also realized that the Penis Plug was going in deeper and deeper as time passed. The sweet sensations were coming from both in and out of my penis. I didn’t last long the first time but I remembered to remove the plug before I had a long sweet orgasm.

Practice Keeping The Penis Plug in Place

The male urethral muscles will keep pushing the plug out. As a beginner it’s important to practice on how to keep the Penis Plug in place. Getting a Penis Plug with a thin shoulder will assist as it provides a good hold inside the urethra. There is a large range of Penis Plug types to buy at sex toy stores so you will be able to find a product which works for you.
