OhMiBod - Let The Music Take You Away!

OhMiBod is an American sex tech brand that made the first vibrator to pulse in time with music. The Original and NaughtiBod sync to your playlist, and Freestyle does it wirelessly. Club Vibe wearables listen to the room through a built-in microphone. BlueMotion and Esca connect to an app, so a partner can take control from anywhere, and Fuse works with Kiiroo. The Red Dot-winning Lovelife collection keeps things simple. It runs from Cuddle and Smile to the Krush Kegel trainer. Pick a playlist, pass the remote, or keep it all to yourself.

About OhMiBod

OhMiBod began in New Hampshire in 2006, when Suki Dunham, a former Apple product marketer, had a simple idea. If music could move people, why not a vibrator? The first OhMiBod plugged into an iPod and pulsed to the beat of the song. It turned a music player into a sex toy, and it became one of the best-known gadgets in the industry.

The brand has kept music and technology at its heart. Freestyle made the music link wireless, Club Vibe added a microphone so a wearable could respond to the room, and BlueMotion brought in phone apps. The Lovelife collection then showed OhMiBod could do simple, design-led sex toys too, and it won a Red Dot Award in 2014.

OhMiBod lines

OhMiBod sells its range under eight named lines.

Original

The OhMiBod Original was the first vibrator made to pulse in time with music. It began as a plug-in companion for the iPod. The current 3.OH Music Massager is a 19 cm wand that picks up audio from a phone or music player. Turn up the bass and the vibration follows. The pearl white finish keeps the look of the very first model.

NaughtiBod

NaughtiBod is the G-spot sister of the Original. The 3.OH model is a 16.5 cm vibrator with a contoured tip, in ABS plastic with silicone. It offers seven vibration patterns, and like the Original it can react to the beat of your music. It suits people who want internal play with the same music-sync idea that made OhMiBod famous, without a bigger wand.

Freestyle

Freestyle is OhMiBod’s wireless music line. Instead of a cable, a small transmitter clips to your phone or music player and sends the beat to the vibrator. Freestyle :G is a curved 19 cm G-spot vibrator. Freestyle :W is a dual-motor clitoral design with three speeds and four patterns, which sits among our clitoral vibrators. Both charge by USB.

Club Vibe

Club Vibe is OhMiBod’s wearable range for nights out. Each one sits in your underwear and has a built-in microphone, so it pulses to the music in the room. Club Vibe 2.OH has 6 patterns and 12 intensity levels, and Club Vibe 3.OH is a slimmer 9.5 cm design. Club Vibe 3.OH Hero is a music-synced prostate massager with a remote, among the more unusual remote control vibrators.

BlueMotion

BlueMotion is OhMiBod’s app-controlled line. BlueMotion Nex1 is a vibrating panty with a pocket for a small motor that a partner controls by Bluetooth from about 9 metres away. It is one of the best-known panty vibrators and runs for about 90 minutes per charge. BlueMotion Nex2 is a compact 7.5 cm G-spot massager controlled through the same app, so one phone can run both.

Lovelife

Lovelife is OhMiBod’s simpler, design-led collection, and it won a Red Dot Award in 2014. It includes Cuddle, a curved G-spot vibrator; Snuggle, a rabbit; Dream, a slim vibrator; Smile, a clitoral vibrator; and Discover, a small bullet vibrator. Share is a vibrating couples’ ring, Krush is a Bluetooth Kegel trainer with sensors, and Flex is a set of weighted Kegel balls. Most are rechargeable silicone.

Esca

Esca is OhMiBod’s wearable egg-shaped vibrator for remote play. The original Esca connects by Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, so a partner can control it from across the room or across the world. Esca 2 for Kiiroo adds a coloured LED tail that changes with intensity. It is popular with webcam performers, as viewers can control it through interactive content in real time.

Fuse

Fuse is OhMiBod’s rabbit-style vibrator made with Kiiroo. It has a 19 cm insertable shaft, an external arm and touch-sensitive panels that react to your grip. Our interview with Kiiroo’s Frank Kok describes how its LED light changes colour with intensity, and how it links with partner devices and webcams. It stands out among dual stimulation vibrators for its long-distance features.

Music you can feel

Music sync is OhMiBod’s signature. A music-responsive vibrator reads the sound and turns it into vibration. Bass-heavy tracks give deep, steady pulses, while faster songs create quick, changing patterns. That makes each playlist a new experience. Try a slow track for warm-up, then build to something with a stronger beat. Club Vibe goes a step further and listens to the room through its own microphone. It reacts to a live band or a dance floor.

Play from anywhere

Several OhMiBod lines are made for partners who are apart. Distance does not have to mean a break from intimacy. BlueMotion and Esca connect to a phone app, so a partner can take control from the next room or the other side of the world. Fuse and Esca 2 work with Kiiroo’s system, which links partner devices and interactive content. Our article on the benefits of using sex toys notes how sex toys can help keep intimacy alive over the phone or online. Agree on what you are both comfortable with before you connect.

Wearables for going out

OhMiBod’s wearables are small enough to sit in your underwear. The BlueMotion Nex1 panty holds a motor in a pocket, and Club Vibe tucks into a matching pair. Both run quietly, so you can wear them to dinner or a club. Hand the remote or app to a partner for a secret game, or keep control yourself. Charge them fully before you head out, as most run for around an hour and a half.

Test the connection at home first, so you know the range and the controls before you rely on them in public. A quick check of the app pairing saves fumbling with your phone at the table. Pack the charging cable if you plan a long night.

How OhMiBod lines compare

Here is how the eight lines line up.

Choosing your first OhMiBod

Start with how you want to control it. For music, choose the Original or NaughtiBod, or Freestyle if you want no cables. For partner play from across a room, BlueMotion Nex1 or Club Vibe is the pick. For long-distance play, choose Esca or Fuse. If you just want a simple vibrator, start with Lovelife. Smile suits clitoral play and Cuddle suits the G-spot.

Who OhMiBod suits — and who should look elsewhere

OhMiBod suits music lovers, gadget fans and couples who want to share control, near or far. It also suits anyone who enjoys a playful public secret.

It is not for buyers who want the strongest possible vibration, as OhMiBod focuses on features over raw power. Some older music models rely on a cable or transmitter, which not everyone will like.

Please read — safety first. Charge each model with its own cable before first use, and check the water rating before using it in the bath. Use water-based lube, as silicone lube can damage silicone sex toys. For anal play, only use a design made for it, such as the Club Vibe 3.OH Hero. Keep Kegel sessions short. If you are pregnant, postpartum or have pelvic pain, see a health professional first. With app or internet control, agree on limits with your partner and only connect with people you trust. This information is general in nature and is not medical advice. If you have a health condition or ongoing discomfort, stop use and speak with a qualified health professional.

OhMiBod FAQ

How does an OhMiBod vibrator follow the beat of my music?
Music-responsive OhMiBod models read the sound signal and turn it into vibration. The Original and NaughtiBod pick up audio from your phone or music player, while Freestyle does it wirelessly through a small transmitter. Deep bass gives long, rumbling pulses, and faster songs give quick, changing patterns. Every playlist feels different, so try a slow track to warm up, then build to something with a stronger beat.
Club Vibe or BlueMotion Nex1, which wearable suits a night out?
Club Vibe has a built-in microphone, so it pulses to the music around you, whether that’s a live band or a dance floor. It comes with a remote for a partner. BlueMotion Nex1 is a vibrating panty controlled through a phone app from up to about 9 metres away. Choose Club Vibe if you want the room’s music to set the rhythm, or Nex1 if you want a partner on the controls.
Can my partner control an OhMiBod from another country?
Yes, with the right model. Esca connects by Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, so a partner can control it through an app from anywhere with an internet connection. Fuse and Esca 2 work with Kiiroo’s system, which links partner devices and interactive content online. Agree on what you’re both comfortable with before you connect, and only pair your device with people you trust.
What did the original OhMiBod plug into?
The first OhMiBod plugged straight into an iPod. Launched in 2006, it turned a music player into a vibrator that pulsed in time with the song, an idea from founder Suki Dunham, a former Apple product marketer. Today’s Original 3.OH Music Massager keeps that idea and the pearl white finish, and picks up audio from a phone or any music player.
Which OhMiBod works for G-spot play?
OhMiBod makes several. NaughtiBod 3.OH is a 16.5 cm curved vibrator that can sync to music. Freestyle :G is a 19 cm curved design that follows your music wirelessly. BlueMotion Nex2 is a compact 7.5 cm G-spot massager run from an app. For a simpler choice, Lovelife Cuddle is a curved, rechargeable G-spot vibrator with straightforward button controls.
What makes the Lovelife collection different from other OhMiBod lines?
Lovelife strips back the technology and focuses on shape and feel. It won a Red Dot Award for product design in 2014. The range covers Cuddle for the G-spot, Snuggle as a rabbit, Smile for clitoral play, Dream as a slim vibrator and Discover as a small bullet. Most models are rechargeable silicone with simple buttons, so there’s no app or music to set up.
How does the Lovelife Krush help with Kegel training?
Krush is a silicone Kegel trainer with built-in sensors that connects to a phone app by Bluetooth. As you squeeze, the app shows how hard you’re gripping and guides you through exercises. That feedback helps you check you’re working the right muscles. Start with short sessions. If you’re pregnant, postpartum or have pelvic pain, see a health professional before using it.
Is there an OhMiBod made for men?
Club Vibe 3.OH Hero is a prostate massager with a curved, bulbed shape that syncs its vibration to music and comes with a wireless remote. Lovelife Share is a vibrating ring for couples, worn by the partner with a penis. It sends vibration to both of you during sex. Use plenty of water-based lube for prostate play and go slowly.
