About Penthouse Lingerie

Penthouse Lingerie launched on 9 October 2005 at the International Lingerie Show in Las Vegas. It began as a five-year licence between Penthouse Media Group and Coquette International. Penthouse Pets modelled the first range of bras, thongs, camisoles, bustiers and corsets.

That licence ended in November 2010. In May 2019, EIS GmbH, the Satisfyer company in Bielefeld, announced worldwide rights to make Penthouse-branded products from 2020. Lingerie was one of the first categories planned. We list Penthouse Lingerie under the Triple A Group brand family for that reason.

The current line arrived in the US trade in early 2021. It was described as chemises, two-piece sets, hosiery and bodystockings, with fit options for different body types. It is a different range from the Coquette-era pieces.

The styling stays close to the Penthouse image: sheer fabric, plunging necklines, garter details and open-crotch options. Most designs come in black, with white, red, pink or nude versions of the best sellers.

From magazine pinups to lingerie labels

The lingerie has always borrowed from the magazine. In 2009 the line was split into four Pet groups: Sexy Pet, Wild Pet, Sweet Pet and Naughty Pet. Naughty Pet mixed print with black denim, eyelets and lacing for a rock look.

Today the styling is simpler. Each design gets a name, such as Naughty Doll, Earth-Shaker or Perfect Lover, and often comes in black plus one or two colours. Net, lace and sheer mesh do most of the work.

Perfect Lover is a deep-plunge bodysuit with a tie neck, cross-back straps and a bare back. Scandalous is coarse-mesh net with a halter neck, long sleeves and a thong back. Bra and panty sets

Too Hot To Be Real is a lace set with adjustable straps and a low-rise panty, in black, red and wine. Double Spice pairs a lace triangle bralette with matching panties, in black or nude. Work It Out, Enjoy The Moment and Open Secret complete the sets. Triangle bralettes have no underwire, so they suit smaller to medium busts best.

Panties and G-strings

Dangerous Darling is a Brazilian-cut lace G-string with a small bow, in black, red or white. Classified has narrow straps with bows front and back. Hot Getaway is a crotchless thong. Adore Me, Mermaid Fantasy, Naughty Valentine and Pure Instincts add more lace and strappy women's G-strings. Most use polyamide or nylon with about 10% elastane for stretch. Kimonos and robes

Hypnotic Power is a sheer short kimono about 60 cm long, with wide sleeves, eyelash lace trim and a matching thong. Sweet Retreat and Midnight Mirage are sheer robes in black or white. Fabrics and how they feel

Most Penthouse babydolls use a polyester and elastane blend, often around 73% and 27%. That high stretch hugs the body and forgives small size differences. Mini dresses and bodies lean on nylon with about 8% elastane, which feels smoother and lies flatter.

Bodystockings are nylon net with about 12% spandex, so one size stretches across a wide range. G-strings are polyamide lace with about 10% elastane. Kimonos and robes are lightweight polyester that drapes rather than clings.

None of these fabrics are padded or structured. Support comes from straps, ties and stretch, so the look is soft rather than sculpted.

Net and fine lace can catch on rings, nails and zips. Put them on slowly, rolling bodystockings up from the feet like tights, and they will last much longer.
