About Noir Handmade

Roksana Galka founded Noir Handmade in 2011 and named it after the film noir genre of the 1940s. The company is based in Wrocław, Poland, and keeps its production in the European Union. It reports more than 80 artisans and staff, and daily deliveries to retailers in more than 35 countries.

In our 2017 interview with Marcus Galka, Noir Handmade's head of global sales said its collections are "closer to fashion than erotic lingerie". He placed the brand "somewhere in the middle between hard BDSM and clubwear". At the time, Diva and Unchained were the standout lines, and the team ran pattern making, cutting, sewing and finishing at its Polish base.

Dark Romance is one of Noir Handmade's newest women's collections, built around lace, powerwetlook and corsetry.
