Allan and Ann Falconer set up the business in February 1997 as Silky Wholesale Limited. It became Silky Hosiery Limited in 1999 and took the name Legwear International in 2008. The company was earlier based at Langley Mill on the Nottinghamshire border, close to the heart of England’s old hosiery trade. Today it runs from the Clover Nook Industrial Estate in Alfreton, Derbyshire.
