Je Joue is a British maker of rechargeable vibrators, also called massagers or vibes, built around deep, low-frequency rumble instead of surface buzz. The range runs from the Mimi pebble to rabbit and G-spot vibrators, cock rings, butt plugs and Kegel trainers.

Why choose Je Joue Je Joue builds every vibrator around a low-frequency motor that rumbles rather than buzzes. The brand rates its range IPX7 and says the motors run at 33 to 35.5 dB from a metre away. Most models charge through a magnetic USB point, so there is no open port to seal. The silicone is body-safe and vegan, poured in Je Joue’s own factory. The company has held its US trademark since 2007, and SaSi won an AVN innovation award in 2009.

About Je Joue
Je Joue, French for “I play”, trades through Cliq Limited, an English company set up in April 2003. Its founder was the industrial designer Geoff Hollington, who sat on the board until 2007. The idea for a programmable vibrator dates from late 2002, and the first Je Joue model was shown in 2006. SaSi followed in 2008, and the brand dates its best-known pebble, Mimi, from the same year.
Je Joue’s own story credits extensive research and expert insight for its designs. In practice that means one motor philosophy across every shape: low frequency, broad contact and quiet running. The brand makes its silicone sex toys in its own factory and backs them with a one-year international guarantee. It says the average Je Joue lasts three to five years with normal use.
Awards and registrations
SaSi won Outstanding Innovation at the inaugural AVN O Awards in July 2009. Je Joue says Uma was a finalist in the Spark Design Awards. The JE JOUE word mark has been registered in the United States since May 2007 for vibrators and massage apparatus. Cliq Limited is the owner, and the mark was renewed in 2017. That US record claims priority from a European application filed in November 2004. Earlier US marks for SaSi and Ooh have since been cancelled, which is normal once a product line is retired.
Je Joue sub-brands
Je Joue runs each of its best-known designs as its own sub-brand, from the Mimi pebble to the ILY line. All share the same rumbly motor.
Mimi: the original pebble
Mimi is the pebble that made Je Joue’s name, and the brand dates it from 2008. It is a palm-sized clitoral vibrator with a plush, wide face that spreads the rumble across the vulva rather than one point. It runs 5 speeds and 7 patterns, charges by magnetic USB and is rated waterproof. You can hold it flat in the hand, tip it on its edge for focus, or rest it between two bodies during sex. It gives the broad rumble people buy wand massagers for, from a pebble that sits flat in the palm.
Mimi Soft: the cushioned pebble
Mimi Soft keeps the Mimi shape but adds a squishy, cushioned tip that gives under pressure. That softer contact suits people who find a firm vibrator too direct on the clitoris. It shares the 5 speeds, 7 patterns and magnetic charging of the original. Mimi Extra-Soft Deux is the newest member of the Mimi Soft family. It has rounded pleasure points on one side and a smooth face on the other. Je Joue designed Deux for hands-free straddling, so it covers the whole vulva at once.
FiFi: the rabbit, redrawn
FiFi is Je Joue’s rabbit vibrator, with a curved shaft and two flexible ears for G-spot and clitoral play together. Je Joue says each ear and the shaft run five vibration and pulsation patterns. Its two metal eyes double as the magnetic charging points, so there is no open port. Our hands-on FiFi review got about two hours of play from a two-hour charge, and found a wall plug in the box. Because the body is sealed and rated waterproof, FiFi can come into the bath.
G-Kii: the curve you set yourself
G-Kii is a G-spot vibrator whose curve changes at the touch of a button. You set the angle to suit your body, then the firm shaft holds it while it vibrates. An outer arm reaches the clitoris at the same time, so G-Kii gives blended stimulation like a rabbit. It runs 5 speeds and 7 patterns, charges by USB and is rated waterproof. It suits people who like firm G-spot pressure and have struggled to find a curve that fits.
Uma: the contoured all-rounder
Uma is a slim, contoured vibrator that works inside for G-spot play or outside on the clitoris and nipples. Je Joue says it was voted the most beautiful vibrator in the world and was a Spark Design Awards finalist. Its head swells gently from a narrow neck, which gives pressure without bulk. Uma runs 5 speeds and 7 patterns, charges by magnetic USB and is rated waterproof. It is a good pick for people who want one vibrator that does a bit of everything.
Mio: the vibrating cock ring
A cock ring, also called a C-ring or erection ring, sits at the base of the penis. Mio is Je Joue’s vibrating cock ring, made from soft, stretchy silicone with 5 speeds and 7 patterns. The motor pad sits at the base, sending rumble down the shaft and against a partner’s clitoris during sex. Our Mio cock ring review measured it at 71 × 31 × 71 mm. It works just as well for solo play, because it frees both hands. It is waterproof and charges by magnetic USB.
SaSi: the award winner that started it
SaSi launched in 2008 as one of Je Joue’s first designs. It was a clitoral vibrator that combined movement with vibration under a soft silicone skin. SaSi won Outstanding Innovation at AVN’s first O Awards in 2009, the brand’s first major industry award. Je Joue registered SASI as a US trademark the same year it launched. SaSi is no longer made, but its focus on how a vibration feels, not just how strong it is, still shapes the range.
Ami by Je Joue: pelvic floor trainers
Ami by Je Joue is a three-step set of silicone Kegel trainers, made for pelvic floor exercise. Step one is a soft single ball, step two a medium double and step three a smaller but heavier double. Each piece has a soft, smooth silicone coat and a cord for removal. Our Ami review found the smallest step the hardest to hold, because it needs the most grip. Ami + is a single advanced trainer with weighted balls that shift inside as you move. At about 135 g, Ami + is heavier than most Kegel balls, so it suits people who have already worked through the set.
Ooh by Je Joue: the modular system
Ooh by Je Joue launched in 2015 as a modular system. One rechargeable Ooh motor slots into a choice of silicone sleeves, so a single power unit runs several shapes. Sleeves include a vibrating pebble, a classic vibrator and a vibrating cock ring, and the motor runs 3 speeds and 2 patterns. The Her Name Is Rio kit pairs the Large Motor with the Hello Yellow pebble and the Pout Pink classic sleeve. The London Love-In kit is a couples set with a cock ring and a clitoral piece. Ooh no longer appears on Je Joue’s current site.
ILY by Je Joue: the playful sub-brand
ILY by Je Joue is a brighter, younger sub-brand that puts the Je Joue motor into simpler shapes. The line covers the ILY Bullet, Pebble, Wand, Rabbit and Ring, plus a Panty Vibe with a remote. Je Joue says the Panty Vibe and Rabbit offer three sensations, from deep low-frequency rumble to fast, focused vibration. The Panty Vibe runs 3 speeds and 7 patterns. The ILY Ring is a stretchy vibrating cock ring with a wider contact surface. The ILY Bullet is splash-proof rather than fully waterproof, so keep it out of the bath. A massage candle, lip balm and tote complete the line.
Je Joue categories
Newer Je Joue designs sit in the brand’s own menu categories rather than as sub-brands.
Rabbit vibrators: Hera and Hera Flex
A rabbit vibrator pairs an internal shaft with an external arm, so the G-spot and clitoris are stimulated together. Beside FiFi, Je Joue makes Hera, which swaps the two ears for one flexible thumb and adds a squishy tip on the shaft. Hera Flex uses BodyFlexTechnology, a fully bendable shaft that you shape to your body and position. Both run the same low-frequency motor as the rest of the range. Choose Hera for a fixed curve, or Hera Flex if you change positions often.
G-spot vibrators: Juno, Juno Flex and Dua
A G-spot vibrator has a curved shaft that presses on the front wall of the vagina, where many people find the G-spot. Juno has a squishy tip that Je Joue calls the softest it has made. Juno Flex uses the same bendable BodyFlexTechnology shaft as Hera Flex. Dua was a dual-motor vibrator for G-spot and clitoral play, run from a smartphone app with remote partner control. It gives 7 patterns and 5 intensity levels for each motor, though Dua no longer appears on Je Joue’s current site.
Bullet vibrators: Classic, Vita, Duet and Amour
Bullet vibrators are small, finger-length vibrators for pinpoint external play. Je Joue puts its low-frequency motor into a pocket-sized silicone body. The Classic Bullet has a soft silicone tip and comes with a finger sleeve for hands-free use. Vita has a rounded wand tip on a flexible neck. Duet has graduated nubs on one side and a smooth face on the other. Amour ends in a heart-shaped tip that flutters, and G-Spot and Rabbit bullets round out the set.
Vibrating butt plugs: Nuo, Vesta, Egon and Onyx
Je Joue’s anal sex toys all have a slim neck and a flared base to help stop them slipping in too far. Je Joue calls Nuo the world’s first dual-motor butt plug. It runs from the free Je Joue app, with a playlist mode for discreet or long-distance play. Vesta is the beginner plug, with a rounded head, 5 speeds, 7 patterns and a remote. Egon has triangular edges for firmer pressure, and Onyx is the heavy, gem-edged plug for a fuller feeling. Each one suits P-spot or G-spot play, depending on the body.
Cock rings: the Silicone Cock Ring Trio
Alongside Mio and the ILY Ring, Je Joue makes plain silicone cock rings without a motor. The Silicone Cock Ring Trio comes in minimum, medium and maximum stretch, in blue, green and black. Je Joue says the stretch level is about how intense you want the squeeze, not about penis size. The rings have a non-slip finish and are stretchy enough to put on after an erection. Start with the loosest ring and move tighter only if it stays comfortable.
Low frequency, explained
Most vibrators are sold on speed, but Je Joue argues that frequency matters more. A high-frequency motor makes a fast, light buzz that stays near the skin. Some people find that buzz numbing after a few minutes. A low-frequency motor makes slower, heavier waves that you feel deeper in the body.
That matters because much of the clitoris sits beneath the skin, not just at the visible tip. Our article on the language of sexual pleasure explains how Je Joue designed its motors with that in mind. It also covers the brand’s view that the G-spot responds to pressure as well as vibration. That is why G-Kii, Juno and Hera use firm curves or squishy tips rather than relying on power alone. Switch a Mimi on in your palm and you can feel the difference before it touches your body.
Materials, power and water
Je Joue uses body-safe, vegan silicone over a hard inner shell. Most models charge by a magnetic USB lead that clips onto two metal contacts. That keeps the body sealed, and Je Joue rates the range IPX7, waterproof to 2 m for up to two hours. The ILY Bullet is the exception, at splash-proof only. Je Joue says one hour of charging gives about 90 minutes on the top setting. Use water-based lube, wash with warm water and mild soap, and dry the contacts before charging.

Choosing your first Je Joue
Start with what you want to feel. For broad external rumble, a Mimi or Mimi Soft is the classic first buy. If you want internal and external together, FiFi or Hera covers both at once. For G-spot play, G-Kii lets you change the curve, while Juno Flex bends to your body. Couples often start with Mio, because both partners feel it during sex. For pelvic floor exercise, begin with step one of the Ami set and move up only when it feels easy. If you want app control, Nuo is the model built around it.
Who Je Joue suits — and who should look elsewhere
Je Joue suits people who find ordinary vibrators buzzy, numbing or noisy. It also suits couples who want sex toys that look good on a bedside table. People who share a home often like the quiet motors and sealed charging.
It is not the right brand if you love sharp, high-frequency buzz, because the rumble can feel too soft at first. Look elsewhere if you want air-pulse suction or thrusting, as Je Joue makes neither. Only Nuo, and the older Dua, run from an app, so app fans have limited choice.
Please read — safety first. Je Joue vibrators are rated IPX7, but the ILY Bullet is only splash-proof, so check each listing before bath use. Charge with the supplied magnetic cable and dry the contacts first. The rumble builds quickly, so start on the lowest speed. Use water-based lube, because silicone lube can damage silicone sex toys. Wear a cock ring for no more than 30 minutes, and take it off at once if you feel numbness, coldness or pain. Butt plugs need a flared base and plenty of lube, and never go from anal to vaginal play without washing or a fresh condom. Keep Kegel sessions short. If you are pregnant, postpartum or have pelvic pain, see a health professional before using Ami. This information is general in nature and is not medical advice. If you have a health condition or ongoing discomfort, stop use and speak with a qualified health professional. |
