About Intimina

Intimina is a Swedish women’s health brand from LELO, the designer best known for its pleasure products. It was founded in 2009 by Ivana Sedic and launched in the US in 2011. The early range covered massagers, pelvic floor exercisers, cleansers and moisturisers.

Menstrual cups became the brand’s focus. The Lily Cup range grew to include a collapsible cup and a beginner cup. In 2018, Intimina launched Ziggy Cup, a flat-fit disc made to be worn during sex. Today, its products are sold through pharmacies and retailers worldwide.

Lily Cup is Intimina’s classic menstrual cup, made from medical-grade silicone. It has a slanted shape and an ultra-smooth finish, and comes in sizes A and B. Lily Cup Compact

Lily Cup Compact folds down flat into a slim case, so it fits in a pocket or purse. Intimina calls it the world’s first collapsible menstrual cup. It suits light to medium flows and comes in sizes A and B. Pop it open, fold it and insert it like any cup. When you are done, collapse it and store it in its case.

Lily Cup One

Lily Cup One is made for first-time cup users. It is soft and small, with a removal ring at the base for an easy grip. The cup collapses into its own case for storage. Intimina designed it for younger users and anyone new to reusable period care. It is a good first step before moving to a standard Lily Cup.

Ziggy Cup and Ziggy Cup 2

Cup or disc?

A menstrual cup sits low in the vagina and forms a light seal. A disc, such as Ziggy Cup, sits higher and tucks behind the pubic bone. Cups have a stem or ring to help removal, while discs have a rim or tab you hook with a finger.

Practise inserting and removing a new cup or disc at home on a light day. Wear backup underwear for the first cycle while you learn the fit. Empty it in the shower if you find that easier. Most people find it feels natural after two or three periods.

Choosing a cup size

A pelvic health physiotherapist can check your technique and suggest a routine. This is a good idea after childbirth or if you have any pelvic symptoms.

Caring for Intimina products

Wash cups and discs with mild, unscented soap and water when you empty them. Boil them between periods, as Intimina directs.
