About Gutter Games

Gutter Games began on New Year’s Eve 2016. Kate and Zak Walton’s cars both broke down, so they missed a friend’s party and stayed home with cheap prosecco. That night they invented Gutterhead. Zak worked in finance and Kate in architecture, and neither had made a game before. They put their savings into the first production run.

Zak went full time in May 2017, and Gutterhead launched with a party that August. Trunk of Drunk followed in 2018, then the family hit Beat That!. In 2021 the couple sold the business to Perch, a US group that buys online consumer brands. Perch merged with Razor Group in 2024. In April 2026 French publisher Savana bought the Gutter Games portfolio and said it plans new games under the name.

Gutterhead: the filthy drawing game

Gutterhead was the first Gutter Games title, invented by Kate and Zak Walton on New Year’s Eve 2016. It is a team drawing game with crude prompts and fast rounds.
