It focuses only on nuru massage and the products around it. The signature gel powders are made in Japan, while its gels and bedding come from specialist partners it says it has worked with for years. Its powders are vegan-certified by VegeProject Japan, a Tokyo non-profit that audits suppliers, ingredients and the production line. Eroticgel now ships to 18 countries. Its online store also sells Pepee, a long-running Japanese lotion brand that Eroticgel does not own.

Nuru gel powders

The powders are Eroticgel's signature line, made in Japan and certified vegan. You mix about a teaspoon with 500 ml of warm water to make a slippery gel. Platinum Edition is a pure, neutral formula with no added botanicals. Sakura adds aloe vera, seaweed, liquorice and green tea, Sumire uses nori seaweed and aloe vera, and Matsuri uses seaweed and green tea. Ready-to-use Nuru Massage Gel

For no mixing at all, the ready-to-use Nuru Massage Gel comes pre-made in sizes from 250 ml to a 5 litre bulk container. It is made with aloe vera, seaweed, liquorice, green tea and vitamin B5, and it is paraben-free. The formula is water-soluble and non-greasy, so it rinses off easily after a session. Nuru massage oils

Eroticgel's Nuru Massage Oil comes in two formulas with jojoba and vitamin E. Professional Glide is thin, spreads quickly and holds its glide the longest. Luxury Skin feels fuller and cushions each stroke. Both are unscented and free of parabens and glycerine, and unlike a water-based gel, they do not need re-wetting. Waterproof fabric bedding

These are the Eroticgel products in our range. The fitted sheets use soft fabric over a hypoallergenic TPU waterproof layer, and the EXTREME Edition covers the mattress on every side. Vinyl sheets and pillowcases

A 0.4 mm flat vinyl sheet has a flock-backed, non-slip base. Vinyl pillowcases and a half-moon bolster cover complete the line. Vinyl does not breathe like fabric, but it wipes clean in seconds.

Nuru inflatables

Inflatables hold gel in place instead of letting it run off the bed. The Inflatable Nuru Massage Sheet has raised borders and comes with manual or automatic USB inflation, with or without handles. What is nuru massage?

Nuru comes from a Japanese word for slippery. A nuru massage uses a thin, very slick gel spread over both bodies, so partners can glide against each other. Traditional nuru gel is made from seaweed, which gives it a smooth slip without feeling greasy.

Mixing nuru gel powder

Eroticgel suggests about one teaspoon of powder, or one 5 g sachet, per 500 ml of warm water. Sprinkle the powder in slowly while you stir, so it does not clump. Let it sit for a few minutes to thicken.

Add more water for a thinner, faster glide, or a little more powder for a thicker gel. Because the powders contain no preservatives, mix only what you need and throw away any leftover gel after the session.

Caring for waterproof sheets

Fabric waterproof sheets last longest when you wash them soon after use. Wipe or rinse off excess gel or oil first, then machine wash on a warm cycle. Eroticgel says its fabric sheets and pillowcase protectors are safe in the dryer at up to 60°C.

Avoid bleach and fabric softener, which can weaken the waterproof layer. Store sheets folded loosely in a dry cupboard, away from heat.

Cleaning up

Rinse nuru gel from skin with warm water in the shower. Wipe excess gel from fabric sheets before washing them on a warm cycle. Vinyl sheets and inflatables just need a wipe with warm, soapy water and a full dry before you fold them away.
