About Ellie Shoes

Ellen Renger founded Ellie Shoes in Orange, California, in 2000. The company is still family owned and operated, and it remains based in Orange. It started as a maker of lingerie and bedroom shoes for women. Its clear platform sandals and tall stilettos soon became popular with dancers and performers.

As Halloween costumes became sexier, demand for matching shoes grew. Ellie added a Halloween collection, then costume lines for men and kids. Licensed lines followed, including Penthouse by Ellie Shoes and Bettie Page by Ellie Shoes. Today it sells to retailers around the world, and its heels range from 3 to 8 inches.
