About System JO

System JO is made by CC Wellness LLC in California. Its SYSTEM JO trade mark claims first use in March 2000, and the brand marked its 20th anniversary in 2023.

The brand began with lubricants and grew into flavours, arousal gels, massage and sex toy cleaners. Parent CC Wellness also makes products for other brands.

In 2026 CC Wellness opened a larger Santa Clarita facility with an in-house lab. That same year JO launched Vitalize, its first skincare line.

What FDA 510(k) clearance means

In the US, personal lubricants are regulated as medical devices. A 510(k) clearance means the FDA accepted that a product is equivalent to one already on the market.

Clearance is not the same as FDA approval. It also applies only to the named products, so not every JO formula is covered.
