About DG Brands

The story starts with Dreamgirl, founded in 1978 by Patricia Fischer, who had previously worked at Playgirl. Fischer believed every woman should feel free to enjoy her sexy side. By 2003, Dreamgirl was based in Culver City. Its lingerie sold in more than 1,800 stores across the US, Canada, Europe, the Middle East, Australia and Japan.

That year, Fischer sold the company to Christopher Scharff, an apparel executive whose father founded the clothing maker Lanz. Scharff grew the business and created DG Brands as an umbrella for Dreamgirl, Dreamguy, Alexa and High Demand. After 14 years he stepped down, and Barry Revzen became CEO. Today the group also lists the Starline LA and Party King costume labels.

Dreamgirl lingerie

Dreamgirl is the original brand, launched in 1978 by Patricia Fischer. The lingerie runs from soft babydolls and chemises to bustiers, garter slips, teddies and lace bra sets. Starline LA and Party King are costume labels now listed under DG Brands. Each releases a yearly costume collection alongside Dreamgirl's.
