Biird makes sex toys designed to be seen: soft pastel vibrators, glass wands and silicone dildos that look more like homeware. The Dutch, female-co-founded brand won iF and A' Design Awards in 2022 and plants a tree for every toy sold.

Why choose Biird Biird's Evii won an iF Design Award and an A' Design Award in 2022. Four industry veterans founded the brand, led on design by Andrea Rey. The toys use extra-thick, ultra-soft silicone or handmade borosilicate glass. Charging bases double as a jewellery tray or a lamp, so nothing needs hiding. Every toy sold plants a tree.

About Biird
Biird is a Dutch pleasure brand founded by four people who had already spent years in the industry: Andrea Rey, Simon, Kevin and Evi. They saw toys designed mostly by men, in black, purple and hot pink, that people felt they had to hide. Biird set out to make the opposite: soft, pastel objects that could sit on a bedside table without explanation.
Its first toy, Obii, arrived in 2020 with a charging base that doubled as a lamp. Evii followed and won two major design awards in 2022. The company has grown without outside investors, plants a tree for every toy sold, and campaigns against the censorship of sexual health content online. For the story in Andrea's own words, read our Q&A with Biird co-founder Andrea.
Biird product lines
Biird gives each product a name rather than a model number. Here is how the range breaks down.
Evii: the award-winning clit vibrator
Evii is the toy that put Biird on the map, winning iF and A' Design Awards in 2022. It is a palm-sized, pear-shaped clitoral vibrator with two motors, ridges and a creased tip for different zones. It weighs about 108 g, is rated IPX7 waterproof and runs up to 2.5 hours per charge. Its wireless charging base doubles as a jewellery tray. Read Jen's hands-on Biird Evii review for a first-hand test.
Gii Glow: the G-spot vibrator
Gii Glow is Biird's internal vibrator, 180 mm long with a curved 28.5 mm head for the G-spot. It offers nine vibration patterns across eight intensity levels, plus a Bliss Mode that jumps straight to full power. The silicone is ultra-soft, so it suits people who find firmer G-spot vibrators too rigid. It comes in mint (aquamarine) and lilac, and charges without exposed ports.
Namii and Obii: suction with a lamp
Namii combines clitoral suction and vibration in one toy, and both can run together for hands-free play. Its wireless charging base doubles as a mood light. Obii, Biird's first product, also used pressure-wave suction and a bedside-lamp charging base, and Biird says it won a Red Dot in 2019. They are part of the wider Biird range, alongside Evii, if you want suction rather than vibration alone.
Bae, Boo and Surii: soft silicone dildos
Biird's dildos are ultra-soft silicone with suction-cup bases, so they mount on a smooth surface or fit a harness. Bae is slim: 15 cm long and 3.1 cm wide, for depth without girth. Boo is the opposite: 14 cm long and 4.8 cm wide, for fullness. Surii is 15.5 cm with a gentle G-spot curve, and its body bends up to 90 degrees.
Glass and crystal: Kalii, Cecii, OhWii, Anii and Yonii
Biird's glass pieces are handmade borosilicate, with rainbow finishes that vary from piece to piece. Kalii is an 18 cm ribbed G-spot wand weighing 456 g, and Cecii is a 6.5-inch curved dildo. OhWii is a double-ended 18.5 cm wand made with Wicul for G-spot or P-spot play. Anii is a glass plug, and Yonii is a pair of 37.5 g rose quartz eggs. Compare more glass dildos and love eggs and Kegel balls.
Regii, Riin and Biind: for couples
Regii is a pair of silicone anal plugs, 28 mm and 34 mm wide, so you can start small and move up. Riin is a set of three stretchy silicone cock rings at 29, 34 and 39 mm. Biind is a pair of all-silicone hand cuffs with no metal, so they are quiet and soft on the skin. Each comes in Biird's pastel colours.
Together, jewellery and socks
Biird also makes things that are not toys. Together is a 180-card conversation game for couples, with a glass die and ritual cards. It sits with our sex games for couples. The jewellery line includes the Vulvii necklace and 925 sterling silver clit earrings. Cliit Socks are OEKO-TEX certified cotton with anatomical artwork, sized EU 36 to 42. All make easy, cheeky gifts.
Design you do not have to hide
Most of Biird's ideas come from one question: what if a sex toy looked good enough to leave out? Evii's charging base is a jewellery tray. Namii's base is a mood light. Packaging looks like a homeware gift, not an adult product.
That matters more than it sounds. Andrea describes the aim as reducing intimidation, especially for first-time buyers. A toy that looks friendly is easier to buy, easier to bring up with a partner and easier to keep in reach. Pastel colours and rounded shapes do a lot of quiet work.
Vibration, suction or glass
Biird covers three different kinds of sensation. Vibration, used in Evii and Gii Glow, spreads a buzz across the skin or inside. Evii's two motors give a broad, rumbly feel rather than a sharp one. Suction, used in Namii and Obii, pulses air over the clitoris without direct contact, which some people find more intense.
Glass gives no buzz at all. Its appeal is firmness and temperature: a warmed glass wand feels soothing, a cooled one feels crisp. Many people pair a glass piece with a vibrator, using one inside and one outside. If you are unsure where to start, a vibrator is the most versatile first choice.
Materials and build
Biird's vibrators and dildos use an extra-thick layer of medical-grade silicone, which Andrea says gives more cushioning and responsiveness. Silicone is non-porous and washes clean with warm water and mild soap. The dildos' suction cups grip best on smooth, clean surfaces.
The glass range is handmade borosilicate, the same heat-resistant glass used in lab equipment. It is rigid, so it gives firm, precise pressure, and it holds warmth or cold. Yonii is natural rose quartz, which is heavier and needs careful handling. The cuffs and cock rings are silicone too, with no metal parts.

Choosing your first Biird
For a first toy, start with Evii. It sits on the outside, has simple controls and works on many parts of the body. If you already know you like internal play, Gii Glow or the slim Bae dildo is a gentle next step.
For temperature play, choose a glass piece like Kalii or OhWii. For couples, the Together card game is the lowest-pressure start, and the Riin rings and Biind cuffs add something physical. Yonii suits anyone who wants to try pelvic floor exercises with a weighted egg.
Who Biird suits — and who should look elsewhere
Biird suits people who want toys that look good, feel soft and are easy to start with. It suits gift buyers, couples, and anyone who finds standard adult-shop design off-putting.
Look elsewhere if you want very strong, pinpoint vibration, as Evii's power is broad and rumbly rather than intense. Choose another brand if you want large or realistic dildos, as Biird's are compact and stylised. If you have a medical condition affecting the pelvic floor, talk to a health professional before using weighted eggs.
Please read — safety first. Use water-based lube with Biird's silicone toys, as silicone lube can damage them. Only Evii and other IPX7-rated toys go fully under water; check each listing. Check glass toys for chips or cracks before each use, and test warm or cold glass on your wrist first. Never put glass in the freezer or boiling water. Use only plugs with a flared base for anal play. Wear a cock ring for no more than 30 minutes, and remove it at numbness or pain. This information is general in nature and is not medical advice. If you have a health condition or ongoing discomfort, stop use and speak with a qualified health professional. |
