Best Active Date Ideas to get your heart racing in Sydney

Gone are the days where you would take a girl to the cinema, or to the carnival or wait at the front with the door open ready to be her knight in shining Armour. These days most people settle for Netflix and Chill or drive through at McDonalds for a Mcflurry which generally leads to back seat sex after (Not speaking from experience, I prefer apple crumbles and my Mazda 3 backseat is cramped). As we grow and mature and evolve, we tend to realise the typical sort of dates are yes nice, however don’t stimulate us as much as what they should. My grand scheme is to take a girl out on an active date so it can highlight two things, 1. You’re not just trying to get her to your bed, you have some substance 2. You do like to take care of yourself. The thing is as well, when you are doing exercise or an active activity with someone, it keeps things easy if there is an awkward silence, however people have a tendency to talk when they walk so this allows for a smoother conversation instead of sitting there at the dinner table. Having an active date also gets your blood flowing, this allows your brain to release endorphins which stimulates the release of sex hormones.


The best way to initiate an active date is just being honest and giving your date some options on what they would like to do. Keep in mind, you don’t know them that well so they might have health conditions or be scared of heights or might not be interested in an active date, maybe they just want to go to your house and get naked (Cheering). Below I have given a couple great active date ideas for Sydney, Australia.   • Walking the Bondi to Bronte Coastal Walk:

  • The Bondi To Bronte Coastal Walk is one of the nicest and most scenic coastal walks that Sydney has to offer. Normal taking 1.5 hours to complete at a nice pace, and has a few incline and decline slopes to get your legs really working. Take the time to enjoy the scenery, while you sit and pick your date apart about their likes, interests and hobbies.


  • Sublime Point:

  • I am an absolute sucker for a good view, especially if you have to climb close to 1000 steps at a 75 degree incline to get there in the middle of nature. The great thing about this track is that it will definitely get you and your dates heart rate going, and like every great date (always ending with a bang) the view won’t disappoint. The top of the point overlooks the whole of Wollongong, with you being able to see the whole coast and out to the ocean!


  •  Hire A Boat At The Audley Boatshed, Royal National Park: Now this is for those who want to be a little bit of a cheese ball. The good old row boat around the lake is the ultimate if you want to show your more sensitive side. Make sure she isn’t scared of water or confined spaces or that will blow the whole idea out of the water (excuse the pun) and I’m sure she doesn’t want to role play the Titanic.


Some tips for an active date which some people might forget:


  • WEAR DEODORANT: Nothing is worse than going on a 1.5 hour hike with someone who stinks of bad BO. If you know that you sweat, firstly be sure to wear a black t-shirt because the marks won’t show as much as a grey or coloured top. Secondly, be sure to use a great antiperspirant. No one likes someone who stinks, especially if it’s on the first date because they will picture you stinking all through sex.


  • Take two bottles of water, one for you and one for your date: You want to be seen as chivalrous and a gentleman. Although this is a small detail, trust me this will get you big brownie points.


  • Wear a nice pair of trainers: No matter the woman, they always look at the feet up. So be sure to wear a nice pair of trainers that don’t have holes in them (because you wear them to crossfit) or are overly dirty. Remember you are still on a date so you have to be presentable. While you are at it, make sure you don’t go overboard and wear matching everything like you belong on a fitness show, keep it cool smart. Nice walking shorts, nice trainers and a plain tshirt.


I’ve had some of the best fun on active dates and also the after party that generally happens after them. Do not underestimate how good a well executed active date can do for you in the long run.  Who knows you may even fall in love!
