First Time Strap on Sex – This Is What Happened!

My girlfriend, Sarah, and I were sitting in bed one night when she started to talk about her friend, Cheryl.  We both work long hours at the office.  Even though we work in the same building, most of our conversations happen in bed.  You know, we ask each other about our days, how horrible our bosses were, everyday couple talk.  But I never thought we’d talk about first time strap on sex.

“Cheryl had strap on sex last weekend with some guy she met online!” she said with bewilderment.

“Oh yeah?” I replied, my eyes glued to Antman playing on the tv. Man, if I could shrink like that, the first place I’m going is Area 51.

Sarah’s body turned towards mine, demanding my attention. “Yeah, she said it was a little weird at first because she never had to thrust like that before.  But it’s apparently a really fun experience.”

I knew where she was going with this.

Sure, Cheryl had a good time, but my butt is a no-go zone.

What straight guy would allow their ass to get penetrated by a giant dildo?

“Are you sure the guy was straight?” I asked.

“Of course, he was straight. Strap-on sex doesn’t mean you’re gay,” she replied defensively.

I took a deep breath, “is this something you want to try?” I paused in silence, waiting for her answer.

“Well,” she said nervously, “I am really curious about it. I thought we could try something new – it sounds like a lot of fun.”

“Why this? Out of all the things we could try, why this?”

“Well why not. We’ve never done it before, I would love to try role reversal, and the male G-spot is in the anus.”

Really? I didn’t want to look curious, so I told her I’d think about it.

That night while she was asleep, I did a little research online and found a strapon sex guide. What sparked my curiosity is the male G-spot.

I didn’t know it was in the anus. Does this mean it’s going to feel good? Are my orgasms going to be even better?

Sarah had the day off the next morning, so I wrote her a note and left it on my pillow.

Couples Sex Toy: Tantus Beginners Strap On Kit Review

“To do list: go get a strap-on.”

A couple of hours later, she sent me a photo of the strap on toy kit, with the message, “Can’t wait to see you!” To be honest, I was really excited. The minute I got off work, I basically ran home.

When I got home, Sarah was on the bed, waiting for me. I climbed on top of her, kissing her passionately. She sucked her finger and then slide it into my ass, massaging it slowly.  I could feel my body loosen up and I was excited to give this a try.

After a couple of minutes, I got off the bed, grabbed the kit, and handed it to her.

Sarah came out of the bathroom with the strap harnessed around her waist. It wasn’t so scary as I imagined. “Listen, I’ve been doing a lot of research about it today, so I think I have a pretty good understanding of it. The most important thing is you tell me if it’s uncomfortable or painful.

Don’t try to “take it like a man,” got it? Use the safeword red if you want to stop.” I nodded in agreement, “got it.”

She lathered the dildo up with lube and laid on her back.

“Wait,” I said, “aren’t we doing it in doggy style?”

“No,” she shook her head, “that’s for more advanced people. I read that doing it cowgirl is the best for beginners.” I climbed on top of her and straddled her with my legs, we both giggled.

“I’ve never seen you from this angle before,” she said.

I took a deep breath and slowly slid the dildo inside of me.  Was there pain? No, but it definitely didn’t feel comfortable at first. Sure, she did everything right and used lots of lube.

But nothing can explain the initial feeling of something going up your ass.

I didn’t move for the first couple of seconds as I was adjusting to the new feeling. Then slowly, I slid up and down the dildo.  Not too deep, just enough to ease into it. Sarah had her hands on my thighs, lightly pressing into me.

I picked up momentum and a tingling feeling ran through my body.  So, I started to go deeper and faster, the sensations streaming up my body.  I couldn’t stop and I was jumping like a yo-yo.

Knew I was about to orgasm, and that’s something I didn’t want to miss out on.  “I want you to come for me,” I heard Sarah say.  That was all I needed to hear.  I expected a usual orgasm, but this one was different.  It exploded throughout my whole body, paralyzing me for a moment.

I had reached pure bliss.  Something that’s never happened to me before.

Sarah looked at me, and I looked at her in silence. I didn’t know what to say; I couldn’t think of words at that moment and I was emotional.

“So, how was the first time strap on sex?” she asked.

I removed the dildo from me and laid next to her on the bed.

“Amazing.”

Strap On Frenzy!

There’s a lot of interest in strap-on toys at the moment.  Especially given the rise in couple’s trying out pegging. Perhaps this could be in part from the very short.  But hilarious scene in the box office hit Deadpool, in which the titular character is bent over by his girlfriend in celebration of International Women’s Day.

For the uninitiated, pegging is when a woman uses a strap-on to give her partner anal sex.

For whatever the purpose, there are a heap of different options when it comes to the world of strap-ons. Hopefully this post will arm you with the right information before heading in store to add this exciting new experience to your sexual repertoire.

Harness

There’s a broad variety of harnesses out there.  Starting from simple strap styles, all the way to the beautiful Scandal range of corseted harnesses. Materials range from vinyl to leather to cotton and denim.

Leather is always great as it is nice and sturdy and looks sexy as hell. However it does have the downside of being porous and fetish leather is a bit tricky to clean.

Tantus have some great harnesses.  Including some velvet ones and their gorgeous Connoisseur Harness range is a one piece deal that works on clothing sizes as opposed to needing to adjust straps.

Having spoken to many customers about harnesses, both new and experienced strap-on users.

I think the Fun Factory Harness ticks all the right boxes.

  • It’s made from soft denim.
  • Making it super comfortable and easy to wash, and still looks damn sexy.
  • It’s got a wide belt and two leg straps.
  • For those so inclined, it’s vegan.

Or alternatively, pick yourself up some silk rope and make your own harness!

The Dildo

There are so many different dildos on the market and picking the right one for you is really a personal choice. Size, girth, vibrating, colour, shape, real looking or not.  These are all the individual’s choice.

A most important part is the one often overlooked, and that is material.

As with any insertable toy, a good quality silicone toy is typically the best choice here.  Ensure that your dildo is phthalate-free.

What are phthalates?

Phthalates are weak endocrine disruptors and androgen blocking chemicals. This means that when absorbed into the body phthalates it can either mimic or block female hormones. Or in males, suppress the hormones involved in male sexual development.

Some of the better brands making silicone dildos are Tantus and Fun Factory.

  • Tantus having a wider range of sizes, shapes and vibrating or not.
  • Fun Factory on the other hand have no vibrating dildos.  Though their Bouncer range offers a vibrating like sensation via the three rotating balls within the shaft.  And it never runs out of charge!
  • King Cock do some great lifelike dildos in a range of size.  They are one of the many companies offering squirting dildos.  Great to use with Snake oil Cum Lube).
  • Evolved, backed by their 5-year warranty, have some great glow in the dark dildos as well as a strong vibrating one.

Looking for Vibrating?

But if vibrating is what you are looking for, then look no further than these two, waterproof and rechargeable dildos.  Uprize and the FemmeFunn.

  • FemmeFunn is ultra realistic in feel and detail, and is available as a straight shaft, with balls.  Or less realistically looking, with a clit tickling rabbit.
  • Uprize on the other hand, is in a class of its own. Available in 6 and 8 inch, the Uprize goes from flaccid to erect with the touch of a button. That button can be found on the side of its ‘balls’.  Or on the super simple remote that also changes the vibration function.

Another note about dildos for use in strap-ons

A flared base at the bottom of the shaft where the dildo is held in place is almost always a suction cup as well.

O Ring

An O ring is what is going to help hold the dildo in place.  Oftentimes there is one or more included with the harness or kit.  But there’s a few things to know about o rings.

Rubber o rings are pretty handy for one good reason.

Their stretchiness. They are a lot harder to try to work a dildo through, which can be a bit of a buzzkill when caught in the moment.  Also they can start wearing away at both the harness and the dildo itself.

Using either a silicone or stainless steel o ring is the way to go.   But without give, you’ll need to find the right ring size for your dildo. Measurements are always given on the o rings and same for most dildos.

If you’re still unsure, just ask for some help.

Strapless Strap-on

The strapless strap-on typically looks like a regular dildo.  But at the base end, it curves back and ends with a bulb. It’s bulb is held in place by the wearer’s PC muscles.

On a toy like the Tantus Realdoe or Feeldoe, the curve up of the dildo end is natural and allows skin on skin contact between partners.  If you’re not too sure if your PC muscles will hold it firmly in place, it can be used with a harness.  Differing from regular strap-ons by providing both partners with internal pleasure.

This hardened shape of a strapless strap-on is what sets it apart from a double ended dildo.  Another version of couple’s dual internal skin on skin contact.

Hollow Strap-on

Designed to be worn by the male.  A hollow strap-on typically has enough for a regular penis to be inserted inside the dildo.  And held in place by a harness or even with suspenders as well.

But why? I hear you ask.

It’s not, as some people think, to make up in a department where they may be lacking. Instead, it’s to give their partner a chance to mix things up every once in a while.  Using a huge dildo like the King Cock 11” Hollow strap-on Suspender System.  Or the Fetish Fantasy Extreme 8” Inflating Vibrating Hollow Silicone strap-on.

Or to shake things up with the Fetish Fantasy Series 6” Double Penetrator Vibrating Hollow strap-on.  So he can fill both her holes at the same time. Some have a significant curve to them.  Able to reach her G-spot or his prostate, something your natural self is unlikely to manage.

Sure, there are a lot of those options available as a penis sleeve.  Some prefer something sturdier and more secure than that offered by a sheath.

On saying all of this, a hollow strap-on needn’t be worn over an erection, unlike a sheath.  So it is helpful where there could be erectile dysfunction.  When you’ve already come but want to keep on going while you reload.

Finally the Rest

What, there’s more?

There’s always more.  But hopefully this helps give you an idea of the sort of things to look for when you head to the store. There’s a lot of variety out there.  So having an idea of what you want straight off the bat is certainly going to help keep those final decisions to a minimum.
