Exploring Medical Play: A Guide to Understanding Medical Fetishism

Medical Play Fetishism – The definition of a sexual fetish is the need for an object, body part or material to achieve an elevated state of sexual arousal. Realistically anything can be turned into a fetish; it just depends on a person’s desires and preferences.

I’ll be going over one in particular and a few instruments used to achieve heightened sexual arousal.

Medical Play Fetishism

Fetishism is that compulsive desire to explore one another  (or objects) in various compulsive ways.  People grow up feeling scared or ashamed to explore their fetish.  It’s not until we grow older and find out that they are not alone.

Millions of us have fetishes and many share a similar interest or fetish.

With the Medical Play Fetishism there various medical instruments designed for a certain use.  Then over time eventually became sexualised or used to stimulate and create a heightened sexual experience. These tools range from forceps, gags to percussion hammers and sounding rods.

Now, I could spend all day going over every single Medical Play Fetishism.  Instead I choose medical play 3 sex toys that I found most interesting, and curious to investigate.

The Pinwheel – AKZ The Wartenberg Wheel

A pinwheel looking device, the wartenberg wheel is a very popular bdsm toy that’s original purpose was to test nerve reactions.  It systematically rolled up the skin but it didn’t take long for someone to use this instrument for sexual arousal and stimulation.

Looks scary?

I know, but it does what it does best, and that create sensation that most people haven’t ever felt before. Depending on how you use the wartenberg wheel alter the experience and sensations you have.

When used quickly, it can create a ticket sensation.  When used slow and hard it can create a more knife-like sensation.

Use a blindfold, heat up the toy with warm water or cool down in the freezer.  There are many different simple ways you can create new and unique experiences with just this toy.  If you combo it with a “violet wand body contact electrode” for entirely new experience all together.

Let’s Look At Urethral Sounds Next

When I first knew what these were for I was like

“hell no, stuff that ”

but that was my own naïvety.  With some research I found that they have many uses for both medical and sexual purposes. Urethral sounds or sounding rods are used  to go up the male or female urethra.  Medically they are for measuring and or gradually enlarging the urethra.

In the BDSM medical scene they can be a source of exceptional sensual stimulation. The rods are curved due to urethra naturally have a slight curve as well. Urethral play is definately not something you should engage in without experience.  First you need to understand all the necessary precautions. Otherwise, your fun can result in infection, injury, or other traumatic problems……

Besides that the pleasure that can be achieved by these toys is incomparable and should not be overlooked.

Now What About The Speculum?

The actual medical application is examination of the rectum or the vagina. Usually, it is made of steel in a duckbill shape with two “jaws”.  They open with a screw-type mechanism, stretching the opening to give a clear view down the center into the vagina or rectum.

There are also plastic disposable variations of speculum.

Objects such as swabs can be inserted through the opening into the orifice. It also allows for pouring cool or warm water into the opening, just don’t use ice or water that isn’t too hot.

Make Sure You Play Safely

Using instruments for Medical Play Fetishism comes with its own set of precautions.  Ensure safe medical play! Knowing how to look after and clean your tools will keep them in safe and playable condition.

Clean your toys through an autoclave cycle, this is a medical device designed to sterilise medical/dental/tattoo/piercing equipment.  Or boil the instruments for a minimum of 15 minutes.  Or clean thoroughly with alcohol or sex toy cleaner.

You also need to use the right lube.  A sterile lube used for surgical equipment is my best recommendation.

Being a beginner using a Urethral Wand can be a rewarding experience if you practice it properly. Imagine how you would feel if you would stimulate both the outside and the inside of your penis at the same time.

Hundreds of men are enjoying this unique stimulation each day.

This guide will introduce you to the use of Urethral wands and when you finish reading you will know enough to get your own.

Uretheral Wand
Have fun with Urethera Wands

Urethral play is the use of a sex toy inserted into the urethra that will in turn widen the urethra.

The penis is super-delicate to touch.

The urethra contains nerve endings that are highly sensitive and can provide intense sensations when stimulated. There are specialized toys designed for prolonged urethral stimulation, and others that are long enough to reach other erogenous zones such as the prostate. Urethral wands come in various sizes and styles.

Heaps of men report they’ve possessed the capacity to experience without hands, direct-contact prostate climaxes through urethral infiltration.  It’s imperative to do your exploration and pick the right size test for your experience level. Utilizing a toy which is excessively thin or unbending could pierce the urethral divider, while a toy which is too thick could over-stretch your urethra and cause tearing. Perused more about picking the ideal test underneath.

The adult market offers a wide range of urethral wands with different sizes, shapes, and materials. It is important to select a wand with a rounded and tapered tip, rather than using a homemade object or an unusually large or complicated wand.

Opt for a basic, small wand that can help prepare your urethra for stretching as you insert it through the meatus and into the urethra.

What Do You Recommend I Start With?

When using a urethral wand, it’s recommended to begin with one that has either a ring or tapered end to prevent it from slipping inside the body. Stainless steel is the safest material to use for the wand. While there are more complex options available, they should be reserved for those with more experience.

When you buy your urethral wand, first off, sterilize it in boiling water for 3 to 5 minutes. Then wipe it down with some alcohol. Ensure your penis is clean, and wash your hands with warm water and anti bacterial soap.

Why Do I Need To Sterilize My Sound?

Always use a sterile lubricant because it will let you slide the urethral sound easily and comfortably into place, while it keeps you sterilized. When using the urethral wand always insert it very slowly. Do not use saliva or force your urethral wand down your penis.

By following the above tips and being careful and slow at the beginning, your first experience with a urethral wand should be incident free. Use plenty of lubricant and be relaxed at all times. If you find yourself uncomfortable, take a breather and relax.

How Do I Actually Insert A Sound?

Apply some lubricant at the tip of your penis when it is soft and some lubricant on the wand. Hold the wand at the entrance and slowly slip the wand in. Don’t push it, let gravity suck the urethral wand into your urethra.

Once the urethral wand is inserted, it will usually rotate slightly. Don’t be afraid, the sensation should be comfortable. Relax and experiment with light gentle strokes on your penis.

Many men also enjoy slowly sliding the urethral wand in and out of their penis. They find the sensation unique as it enhances their sexual experience.

What Happens If I Orgasm With The Sound In?

When your about to orgasm or ejaculate remove your urethral wand slowly. To maintain a sterile urethral wand make sure you clean the wand with soapy water before storing it away for future use.

Sometime’s, you might feel that it is okay to go faster, or you may find yourself wanting to do thing’s in a rush.

Take care of your body and the whole masturbation experience as the penis has many nerve endings that can be injured very easily.

Safe Sounding Guide
Urethral Play Instructions

Safely Sounding Guide!

We care about you, and what you to feel!  Product Reviews are done with you in mind.  When buying our products we want you to have the best!

We also respect what you’re into, so I’ve created this how to sound safely guide!

This is merely a guide put together from personal experience or online sources. Please keep in mind that we are not medical doctors, always seek medical advice prior to sounding.

What is sounding you may ask?

Well, I am really glad you did!

Sounding is the use of smooth rods, made metal or silicone. The rods are then pushed into the urethra for the purpose of pleasure.  This is a pretty advance sexual kink play and falls under the medical play umbrella.

Both men and women use them, but in my experience has been more common among the male clientele at the Adult Lifestyle Centres!

Lets Look At Sounding For Men

Vagina sounding uses different equipment, as vaginas are obviously shaped differently and have smaller urethras!  For the purpose of this article, I’ll be looking at sounding for men this time. It sounds – (see what I did there) – excruciatingly painful, but done right it can be lots of fun.

Some sounders call the feeling intense and pleasurable, particularly as it hits their prostate.

However, sounding can be dangerous if you’re not careful. The urethra walls are very thin and can be easily damaged – this can lead to internal scarring. I don’t need to spell this out for you; this can cause ongoing medical issues so I am warning you…

BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN SOUNDING.

Okay, the first thing you’ll need to do is buy a sounding set.  There are single sounding bars or sounding sets. I would recommend buying the set.  You’ll save money in the long run by buying the set and they will last you practically forever.

At this point your we are going to recommend that you also purchase a surgical lube. They are best for sound play as it’s a sterile water lube.. We advise, like for most toys, against using silicone lube. Also, your saliva isn’t lube…

it’s an awful idea, don’t even consider it.

Bear in mind that cleanliness matters.  You have an increased chance of getting an infection from the germs from the outside world getting into your penis. Make sure you clean your bars with toy cleaner beforehand, just to be sure.

Perhaps you should also have a shower before you start sounding.

Please ensure you clean your sounding bars after use as well as before.  Cleanliness is next to godliness, right?

Is It Easy To Insert A Urethral Sound?

Now that you’re all clean, your toys are clean, you have a sounding set and sterile or water based lube it’s time to pick a bar. As a beginner you may be tempted to use the smallest bar.  Don’t!

Smaller thin toys can slip in easy but can also cut you. They are difficult to control and cause damage to your urethra. This doesn’t mean you should use the biggest bar either, for obvious reasons.

Your bladder is located inside this region of the body, you can cause serious damage to your bladder if you are not careful. According to a quick google search you should be aiming for a bar that is a similar size to that of your urethra.  When lubed the bar should feel snug inside your penis.

What Should A Beginner Know About Urethral Sounding?

Beginners should aim to go slow, control the bar, acknowledge the feeling and do not push past the bend in your sounding bar. Keep the bend or the curve in your sounding bar facing your face.

Particularly for beginners it is suggested that you steer away from dual sexual activities during your sounding session.

That means no sex with your sounding bar in, no butt plugs, no masturbators,

NOTHING.

Your focus should be on sounding and sounding only.

What Does Sounding Feel Like To a Beginner

Overall, sounding can be an intense rush, but it has risks.  Only after a bit of research you should start sounding. Make sure you have all the information at hand, including what to do if something goes wrong.

Like I said earlier, we are not medical staff and I would recommend speaking to your local doctor about it before sounding. If you’re comfortable I would also suggest having your: wife, girlfriend, fuck buddy, friend (pending on how close you are) in the room with you.

Especially on your first sounding session.

This is one of those occasions where liquid courage definitely will not help you.  Avoid alcohol as it will thin your blood and if you do have a bleed it will be much worse.

Unsafe penis play

So, I hope I haven’t frightened you away, done correctly I am sure everyone will love sounding.

Be safe and look after one another!
