Fisting – It’s A Big Thing!

Fisting is a sexual act often talked about as though it’s a “He who must not be named” or regarded under other categories like extreme kink or contortion-ism.  In some cases it’s even a shamed sexual practice and some countries have made it illegal to perform!

At least once a week, I’ll have a customer come in and see this bad boy at the back of the sex store and say “Who the hell would want that inside of them!” Or “I guess that’s more of a slutty thing.”

Please for the love of all that is sex related, can we stop slut shaming Fisting!

It’s so outdated and so wrong. But hey, that’s a rant for another day! Fisting is a sexual practice which needs to be talked about pre-fist, during fist and post-fist too if it was good!

It’s not something you can do without at least a little bit of preparation.

Steps to Consider When Fisting

1. Get Consent

Whilst in your mind you might picture your partner squirming in pleasure, it’s probably not the best idea to go elbow deep without at least getting the ‘Okay’ from them first.

Being on the receiving end of fisting can be quite a daunting task so make sure your partner is comfortable and ready. Maybe watch some how to video’s with fisting involved to put their mind at ease.

Once you’ve had the a-okay, proceed slowly. (Read below for details on how to “proceed”). It is of utmost importance in any sexual encounter to feel safe and respected within their opinion.

2. Provide Lot’s of Time

Fisting definitely isn’t ideal if you’re hoping for a “quickie”. You need to be highly aroused and in a position where you don’t have to rush through the encounter.

Rushing into a Fisting will cause extreme discomfort and maybe even physically harm the person’s body which is something I’m sure everyone wants to avoid at all costs.

So just take it slowwwww. A bad fisting experience can cause someone to never want to go back. The person would rather you take safety precautions then rush into the sexual act.

3. Preparation is Important

As previously mentioned, Fisting takes a lot of preparation. Working your way up or ‘warming up’ is the most comfortable way to begin fisting. Start by gradually increasing the amount of fingers you’re using, or use girthier and girthier sex toys.

You have to do this until the person is physically and mentally prepared for the whole entire fist. Try giving the person a clitoral orgasm first.  A clitoral orgasm will lead to more relaxed muscles, or if you want to save yourself, even a massage or warm bath will help your body to relax.

4. Use Tonnes of lubricant.

I mean it, don’t be sparing. You want it to be as slippery as possible to make insertion as smooth and comfortable as possible. Make sure your nails are trimmed and not sharp.

No one wants their internal organs scratched, especially when they’re least expecting it! Good hygiene is paramount. Make sure your nails and hands are clean. If you’re Fisting a non-fluid bonded partner, you should consider wearing latex gloves.

They’re safe, and can look hot as hell.

5. Must Have The Willingness to Admit Defeat

If you’re experiencing a lot of pain, if you feel uncomfortable or don’t feel safe you must ask your partner to stop straight away. It doesn’t matter how excited they were to do it or how excited you were to be fisted.

Don’t harm yourself and don’t worry about anyone else’s feelings. It’s okay to try Fisting a few times, after all the more you try the more you’ll get used of the experience. You’ll become more and more comfortable every time.

Again, it’s so important to be in a situation where you feel safe and respected.

6. Have Fun with Fisting

Laugh together and bask in the awesomeness that the human body is. It can fit a whole god damn fist inside of it! The human body is pretty rad.

So all in all if you are an adventurous soul why not go with the flow and give fisting a go.  You never know you just might like it!!!

Anal Fisting Lubes
A BIG Fist

Why You Really Need Fist-It Numbing Lubricant

Fist-It Numbing Lubricant or Fist-It Numbing Gel is an anal lubricant created by adult product manufacturer Shots Sextoys.  Numbing lubricant has been made with the idea of fisting or use of big cocks and big Doc Johnson dildos during sexual intercourse.

Anal fisting is a slow process that involves patience and a lot of lubrication, but the right lubrication: something thick, long-lasting and numbing. This gel-like lube uses a water-based formula specifically developed to enjoy rough anal sexual practices with some extra pleasure.

Fisting or hand-balling is not for Everyone

It can be dangerous if not done properly.

For those who want to try it, first of all, they must trim and file fingernails of the fistee. A receiving partner should not douche as this could irritate and thin the anal walls, increasing the risk of infection.

It is very important to be relaxed and aroused. For this purpose, the receiving partner can use leather cleaner odouriser, which will dilate the anus.

Use Lots of Lube and Gloves

  • I would recommend using a latex glove on the fisting hand or on the fisting sex toy.
  • Apply a generous amount of water-based lubricant on the entire hand and forearm.
  • We recommend like Fist-It Numbing Lubricant or Fist-It Numbing Gel as it is a water-based lubricant. Fist it has a lovely smell, a menthol scent that is not at all overpowering.
  • Sensation is nice, it tingles at first then changes to a cooling sensation which numbs but doesn’t desensitize. Either for fisting or for those who tend to feel uncomfortable during anal sex, this is a great product.
  • This is a condom friendly product and can also be used with any type of sex toys.
  • Gloves will also help maintain cleanliness so that the faeces doesn’t go onto your hand.

Use the Right Lubes

  • Also lubricate the anus generously. Lube 5 ways will make it easier for the fisting.  It will also prevent any pain from occurring.
  • Other types of lubricants, like oil-based lubricants, can damage the latex gloves leading to bacterial and viral infections.

How to Fist

  • Start by inserting one finger at a time into the anus slowly, holding fingers as close together as possible.
  • Once all fingers and the thumb are inserted, you can add more lubricant and gently rotate the hand into the anus.
  • A receiving partner will be stimulated by the movements and the anus will relax and open up even more.
  • Add more lubricant as you continue to fist, as the anus will soak in the lubricant.

Once the hand is fully inserted into the orifice

  • You can slowly turn it into a fist shape.
  • Your wrist will sit narrowly at the entrance.
  • It will be easy to feel the prostate.
  • Time to massage it with a slow movement as the sheer act of stretching your insides normally is enough stimulation for the person to be deeply aroused.
  • They normally find the depth of the fist to be overwhelming with an intense feeling of fullness.
  • If the partner enjoys it and feels aroused, the prostate will get harder and their body will begin to feel pleasure.

It takes a lot of trust and open Communication

For someone to ask you to fist them even if it is your spouse or lover.

People seem to enjoy the feeling of a person who is close to them to fist them as it is a very personal moment that is shared between two people. Amount of trust that is within this moment can bring two people closer together which makes it an extremely arousing experience.

Like any sexual skill, it can take some time to get the orifice to accept the size of a fist.  You can start with different sized butt plugs to work your way up to it.

Safety First

If the receiving partner experiences discomfort or excessive bleeding, there may be a tear in the rectal wall. Rectal tears can be aggravated by further friction, so please be careful.

You should stop, encourage the partner to relax and slowly pull out. It takes some time for the expanded rectal walls to return to normal size.  With time and muscle control they will eventually tighten again.

Until then, the receiving partner may be unable to control bowels.
